North Korea Impressive Against Greece
(left – Jong Tae-se, smiling all the way to glory)
Brazil, Portugal, Ivory Coast – wake up! North Korea are coming on to form just at the right moment. While the nation back home is caught in rising tensions on the Korean Peninsula, the Chollima put in a fighting performance against a troubled Greece, coming from behind to earn a 2-2 tie with the former UEFA Champions. Those of us who support North Korea believe they can provide a shock in the First Round and climb out of the grave Group of Death, very much alive. We are feeling stronger today.
Jong Tae-Se, the “Wayne Rooney of Asian soccer,” blistered the air with two goals that packed explosive power. No defender on any team could have stopped him, the goalie was blown away. He is a clear and present danger. Oddly, huge holes in the normally solid brickwork Korean defense allowed the Greeks to make their point. Coach Hun is demanding a return to tightness at the back. Friends, it’s time to get behind North Korea, if you wish to join the shock troops of World Cup 2010.
Check out the goals from the game and Jong Tae-Se’s thunder goals below.
